So I've had this account for, erh...3 years. Even though I kind of forgot about it for two years, that's still nearly an entire year that's gone by without me writing anything in my journal, so, here goes.
Hello, my name is not Kim. I know, I'm a liar, but I don't normally use my real name on the internet (for obvious reasons) so I wrote down the first name that came into my head, which happened to be "Kim"
I have another account for uploading some more serious deviantations, (seeing as this one was originally to view, comment on, and favourite other people's artwork) and I may very well delete this account soon, but meh.

You're right about not dressing appropriately for the desert it was a lame excuse. My point was this particular character is supposed to be erotic its part of what makes her who she is on purpose and not as a part of some stupid trend. What makes you think this character is any different from the rest of metal gear characters though? Almost all of the characters have depth and iconic stand out traits. We just don't know enough about her yet. To go after metal gear and call it sexist when it has so many strong characters male or female is just misguided. Although why does Kojima always kill all the female characters? Only Meryl got out alive. lol
I never said MG were sexist. I didn't even imply it. I said her character design was unnecessary OTT with the sexualisation (there's that non-existent word again) I did say that I was more annoyed with how impractical her outfit was.
None of the other characters up to now, male or female, have been dressed quite that ridiculously. (Having scenes where they're in various states of undress doesn't count, I'm talking basic outfit design here)
I'm sure she will have depth and personality and I'm sure somewhere there will be a reason thrown in for her outfit (I know the whole skin-camouflage thing, but that doesn't really explain the tights, or the cut of her top/pants. She'd be better off in a small tank-top and shorts in army camo) but my point is that all anyone will remember her for is the outfit and there is a problem with only remembering female characters for how 'sexy' they are.
